Concept: "Exist the chess game" is a show by the international choreographer Natasa Trifan, consists of a large scale chess board and a few chess pieces, in which she explores notions of oppression and freedom. Once the characters are escaping the grand master's mind they are seeking a new sense of identity.

About Us
Natasa Trifan Performance Group [NTPG] was founded in 1999 by Natasa Trifan to create and explore innovative conceptual performances and to enhance the audience's experiences through socially thought-provoking themes and participatory productions.
The performance group performed in New York at venues including the Citicorp Theater at Alvin Ailey Studios Joan Weill Center for Dance part of International Dance Festival, the Dance Theater Workshop, the Harlem Stage, the HERE Theater, the Dance New Amsterdam, the Flea Theater, Merkin Hall at Kaufman Center, the Theater for The New City, F:T:H: festival and at the Merce Cunningham Studio.
Currently the dance company performed at La MaMa Theater NYC and Joyce Soho.
Internationally the company was presented in Romania, Germany, England, Portugal, Chile and Russia.

New Choreography
Currently we are rehearsing on this new productions:
Our creative team is developing a contemporary ballet based on Rimiski Korsakov's music of Scherezade. This multimedia project is inspired by the Arabian Nights stories.
For this project we have the outstanding and captivating ballet dancer Anna Liceica, former soloist of The American Ballet Theater. Anna Liceica is dancing the main leader Scherezade.
Performing
Natasa Trifan is playing and dancing the role of James Dean in a play entitled "Cars/AutomoTive" by East River Commedia, directed by Paul Bargetto. Dates TBA
